Strike

A “strike” refers to a temporary cessation of work by employees as a form of protest, typically aimed at expressing grievances or demanding better working conditions, pay, or other employment terms. Strikes are organized by labor unions or groups of workers who collectively halt work to exert pressure on employers or the governing bodies to address their demands. Strikes can take various forms, including general strikes, wildcat strikes, or sympathy strikes, and they may occur in numerous industries. The underlying aim is to negotiate improvements or changes in labor relations through collective action.
