Fotbal

Fotbal (or football, known as soccer in some regions) refers to a team sport played between two teams of eleven players each. The objective of the game is to score by getting the ball into the opposing team’s goal. It is played on a rectangular field with a goal at each end and is renowned as one of the most popular sports worldwide. The game is governed by the Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) and follows a set of standardized rules known as the Laws of the Game.

The sport emphasizes skills such as dribbling, passing, and shooting, as well as teamwork and strategy. Matches are typically divided into two halves, and the team with the most goals at the end of the match wins. If the score is tied, depending on the context (like tournaments), additional time or penalty shootouts might occur to determine the winner. Football has a significant cultural influence and is associated with major international competitions, including the FIFA World Cup and continental tournaments.
