Football

Football, also known as soccer in some countries, is a team sport played between two teams of eleven players each on a rectangular field with a goal at each end. The objective of the game is to score by getting the ball into the opposing team’s goal. Players primarily use their feet to maneuver and kick the ball, but they can also use other parts of their body except for their arms and hands, with the exception of the goalkeeper who is allowed to use their hands within a designated area. The game is played in two halves, typically 45 minutes each, with a break in between. Football is governed by a set of rules known as the Laws of the Game, established by the International Football Association Board (IFAB). It is one of the most popular sports worldwide, attracting millions of fans, players, and spectators. Football encompasses various formats, including professional leagues, international competitions like the FIFA World Cup, and informal grassroots play.
