Nogomet

Nogomet, known as football or soccer in many parts of the world, refers to a team sport played between two teams of eleven players each. The objective of the game is to score by getting a ball into the opposing team’s goal. It is governed by a set of rules called the Laws of the Game, established by the International Football Association Board (IFAB). The sport is played on a rectangular field, commonly referred to as a pitch, and features two goals at either end. Players primarily use their feet to maneuver the ball, although the goalkeeper is permitted to use their hands within the penalty area. Nogomet is one of the most popular sports globally, with a significant following and numerous professional leagues and tournaments, including the FIFA World Cup and continental championships. The term “nogomet” may also refer to the cultural and social aspects surrounding the sport, including its role in team building, community engagement, and international relations.
