Fotbal

Fotbal, known as football or soccer in different parts of the world, is a team sport played between two teams of eleven players each. The game is played on a rectangular field, known as a pitch, with a goal at each end. The primary objective is to score more goals than the opposing team by getting a spherical ball into the opponent’s goal, using any part of the body except for the arms and hands (goalkeepers are an exception, as they can use their hands within a designated area).

The sport is governed by a set of rules known as the Laws of the Game, established by the International Football Association Board (IFAB). Fotbal is played at both amateur and professional levels globally, with major tournaments like the FIFA World Cup drawing significant international attention.

The game emphasizes teamwork, strategy, and physical fitness, with players commonly trained in specific positions that require varied skills, such as dribbling, passing, shooting, and defending. The popularity of fotbal has transcended cultural and geographic boundaries, making it one of the most widely followed and played sports worldwide.
